Eschler Dies; Rites at Gloversville
Gloversville - Funeral services for Mrs Edna A Eschler, 77, of Riceville, who died late Tuesday night at her home after an illness of several months, will be conducted at 2 pm tomorrow at the Hollenbeck Funeral Home by the Rev Larry Winkler of the Mayfield United Methodist Church. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm today. Burial will be in Mayfield Cemetery. Mrs Eschler was born May 15, 1892 in the town of Mayfield and was a lifelong resident of the area. She was a member of the Mayfield United Methodist Church and its royal eight class. She was a life member of the Mayfield grange. Survivors are her husband, Edward Eschler, a son, Roy Eschler of Cooperstown, a daughter, Mrs Melvin Bell of Mayfield, a sister, Mrs Ivan Wemple of Gloversville, three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Mrs Wemple, Glove Seamtree
Mayfield - A service for Mrs Florence Wemple, 89, a former resident of Mayfield, will be held tomorrow. Mrs Wemple, a resident of the Broadalbin Home for Adults, died Thursday night at Nathan Littauer Hospital after a long illness. Born in Mayfield, she graduated from Gloversville High School in 1914 and resided in the area of her life. She was a sewing machine operator at several glove companies, retiring in 1960 from the Alvord Glove Shop. She was a member of the Mayfield United Methodist Church and its former Kan-Du Class. Her husband Ivan L Wemple, died in 1959. Survivors include a son, Richard L Wemple of Mayfield; four daughters, Mrs Helen Barker and Mrs Mildred Argotsinger, both of Gloversville, Mrs Ruth Boyle of Ocala, Fla, and Mrs June Wadsworth of Naples, Fla; 13 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren. The service will be conducted at 2 pm tomorrow at the Mayfield United Methodist Church. Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm today at the Hollenbeck Funeral Home, 4 Second Ave, Gloversville. Burial will be in Mayfield Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the church.

Wemple Dies at Riceville; On Mayfield School Board
Gloversville - Ivan Lee Wemple, 63, of Riceville, Town of Mayfield, a member of the Mayfield School Board, died yesterday afternoon at his home after a two-month illness. A town of Mayfield native and lifelong area resident, he managed a Fultonville feed store until his illness. He had previously operated a store in Riceville. Mr Wemple was a member of the Mayfield Methodist Church, the Mayfield bowling league and grange and was a past district deputy of the Lone Star Lodge 39, IOOF. Survivors are his wife, Mrs Florence Wemple; four daughters, Mrs George Barker Jr and Mrs John Ellithorpe of Mayfield; Mrs Woodrow Boyle of Miami, Fla and Mrs Richard Wandsworth of Dolgeville; and a son, Richard Wemple of Canajoharie. Services arranged by the Kennedy Funeral Home, will be held at 2 pm tomorrow at the Mayfield Methodist Church. Rev Kenneth Wait, pastor, will officiate. Interment will be in Mayfield Cemetery.
