I have an unexplainable fascination with the
Carrie Luella Baker and her family.
I attribute part of it to this picture of her granddaughter,
Nada Frances Smith who died in 2013 and a silly love for a Netflix series
called “Bloodline” which took place in the Keys & was Soooo good!!
Anyways, let’s talk about Carrie.
She was the daughter of Darius Baker & Hannah J Hegeman (Hannah the
daughter of John Hegeman & Eve Johnson). Carrie was born in Wisconsin
and married a Pennsylvanian cabinet maker named John Calvin Pheil in 1890 at
Florida; they had 4 children – Minnie, Edith, Wilbur & Walter.
