Jennie & Her Two Marriages

Jennie May Manning was the daughter of Warren Manning & Helen G Garlick.  In 1905 she married William Henry Batten, a Canadian born to William Batten & Margaret Lippett. They had 4 children together - William F, Ethel M, Russell E, Evelyn J.

By 1930, Jennie is working as a housekeeper and is listed as divorced on the census. I couldn't find a census for William but he is on a city directory and working as an excavating contractor.

But lo and behold - don't the pair remarry in 1946 - what a wonderful turn of events!

He died in 1953, she in 1955 and they are buried together at the Bloomdale Cemetery.
