Unidentified Flying Objects

Do you ever wonder about flying saucers? Little green men? Life on Mars?

In 1966, Washentaw County became the UFO hub of the country for a while because of the Mannor family.

Let me introduce you to Frank E Mannor - the son of Frank Robert Mannor & Ada Luella Smith - via her line, it traces back to Hezekiah Rogers Jr & Hannah Vincent.  Frank, aka Fritz, married Leona Mae Snay, the daughter of Robert J Snay & Bertha C Hanselman and they had 10 children.

On March 14, 1966, Frank and his son Ronald went hunting for what they saw - a flying saucer, that changed colors and appeared to land in a swampy area about 500 yards from their home.

You can read the various reports below but what made this sighting exciting was the number of witnesses who said they saw it too - including so called credible witnesses - police officers.

Yet despite all the witnesses, because a scientist concluded it was simply swamp gas, burning off vegetation like starting a bunting burner, the Mannor family were branded & ridiculed - singled out of all the witnesses to bear the brunt of it.
