Services for William Francis Batten, who died Nov 24 in Wyandotte General Hospital, were Nov 28 at the Ralph W Ridge Funeral Home, Trenton. Mr Batten of 290948 Davison, Gibraltar, was 64. He is survived by a son, Paul of Gibraltar; daughters, Mrs Ann Brow and Mrs Iva Allen; brother, Russell of New Boston; sister Mrs Ethel Marklein of Riverview, and eight grandchildren.

A public school teacher for 18 years with 16 of those in Gibraltar, Mrs Ethel May Batten, 58, of 29048 Dennison, Gibraltar, died Feb 6 at Wyandotte General Hospital. Services were held Tuesday afternoon from the Ralph W Ridge Funeral Home, Trenton, followed by creation at Woodmere Crematory. Surviving are her husband, William; son, Paul, Gibraltar; daughters Mrs Ann Brow, Gibraltar, and Mrs Iva Allen, Lansing; sisters, Mrs Edith Sanders, Missouri, Mrs Ruth Seely, Reading, Mich; brothers, Paul Binson, California, John Brinson, Kalamazoo and her mother, Mrs Clara Brinson, Reading, Mich. She also leaves eight grandchildren.
