A while back I wrote about Gerald Robert Vincent, he was the author of "46 Acres, 5 Hoggs AND A FAMILY" and the source of much of my work.

Earl Johnstone Vincent, 85, of 1154 Waterloo Street, Halifax, died Thursday at Pinehaven Estates. Born at West New Annan, he was a son of John Robert and Bessie (Johnstone) Vincent. He was a graduate of Empire Business College and Nova Scotia Agricultural College, Truro. He was a First World War veteran of 85th Battalion Nova Scotia Highlanders and later worked as a field supervisor of the Soldier Settlement Board before transferring and becoming branch manager of the Farm Loan Board. He was Sunday School Superintendent at St Andrew's United Church for over 20 years; was a 33rd degree Mason; and a former treasurer of the Halifax Fish and Game Association. He is survived by his wife, the former Jean Munsey; one son, Gerald, Clinton Creek, Yukon; and three grandchildren. The body is at Snow's Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held 11 am today at St Andrews Unite Church. A second funeral service will be held at 2:30pm today at West New Annan United Church with interment in West New Annan. Donations may be made to charity.
