Elmer Oscar Flagler was the son of Oscar V Flagler & Anna F Robertson. The farmer married Eleanor Mary Hammond, the daughter of Clifford Hammond & Lillian Maiers and they had 5 children - Kenneth, Gloria, Norma, Glenn, & David.

FLAGLER, Troy - Elmer O
Flagler of Grooms Rd, Elnora, died at Leonard Hospital November 12, 1969. Formerly of Round Lake, NY, he was the
husband of Elenora Hammond Flagler of Mechanicville; father of Kenneth Flagler
of Elnora, Mrs David (Gloria) Blodgett of Saratoga Springs, Mrs David (Norma)
Pellechia, of Leominster, Massachusetts, Glen and David Flagler both of Elnora.
Brother of Mrs Erven Jones of Crescent, Mrs Orlia Harris of Elnora, also
survived by seven grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral will be
held Friday at 11 am from the Gordon C Emerick Funeral Home, Rte 9 (1 1/2 miles
south of Clifton Park). Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home
Thursday from 2-4 and after 7 pm. Kindly omit flowers and please make
contributions to the Heart Fund.
Eleanor Flagler, State Tax Clerk
BALLSTON SPA - Services have been set for Mrs Eleanor Flagler, 68, of
Maplewood Manor, formerly of Mechanicville, who died Friday at her residence
after a long illness. Born in Mechanicville, Mrs Flagler lived there most of
her life and was a clerk for the New York State Department of Taxation and
Finance for many years, retiring in 1980. A communicant of St Luke's Episcopal
Church in Mechanicville, she was a member of its St Martha's Guild. Mrs Flagler
was a member of the Star of Liberty Chapter Order of the Eastern Star, the
Golden Acorn Temple Pythian Sisters, the Pomona Grane in Bemis Heights and the
Rensselaer County Home Bureau. She was also a member of the Mechanicville Senior Citizens, the Tax Alumni Club, the Jolly Seventeeners and the Civil
Services Employees Association. Her husband, Elmer P Flagler, died in 1969.
Survivors include three sons, Kenneth Flagler of Templeton, Mass, Glenn Flagler
of Schenectady, and David Flagler of Colorado Springs, Colo; two daughters,
Gloria Blodgett of Saratoga Springs and Norma Pellecchia of Leominister, Mass;
a sister, Mrs Ethel Offenbacher of Mechanicville; and nine grandchildren.
Services will be held at 9:30 am tomorrow at the Dunn Funeral Home, 319 Park
Ave, Mechanicville, followed at 10 by a Requiem Mass at St Luke's Episcopal
Church. Calling hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm today. Burial will be in
Hudson View Cemetery, Mechanicville. Memorial contributions may be made to the
American Cancer Society or to charity. The Star of Liberty Chapter Order of the
Eastern Star will hold a service at 7:30 tonight.
