Elmer Boyce & Mary DeGraff

Jacob 'Elmer' Boyce was the son of Elmer Eli Boyce & Minnie Ann Tunnard. He married Mary I Degraff, the daughter of William Degraff & Cora Beach and had 4 children together - Geraldine, the oldest, out lived them all and was 104 when she passed away! Marian died as a baby, Charlotte passed away in 1990 & Elmer in 2000.

Ballston Spa - Elmer J Boyce, 62, chiropractor, who resided in Ballston Spa a number of years, died Sunday night in the Benedict Memorial Hospital after several weeks' illness. He was born Jan 27, 1893 in the town of Clifton Park, and was a member of the Methodist Church and the Ionic Masonic Lodge, Detroit, Mich. He left here to make his home in Detroit, Mich. Survivors are his wife, Mrs Elsie Boyce, Detroit; one son, Elmer E Boyce, Ballston Spa; two daughters, Mrs Geraldine Mabb, Round Lake, and Mrs Charlotte Morris, Ballston Spa, and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be conducted at 10 am Thursday at the Wheeler Funeral Home, the Rev Stephen Kantor, pastor of the Alliance Church, to officiate. Burial will be in the Clifton Park Cemetery. The funeral home will be open Wednesday night.

BALLSTON SPA - Mrs Elmer J Boyce, Eastern Avenue, died Wednesday morning at the Manor Rest Convalescent Home, Round Lake, following a lingering illness. She was born Feb 2, 1894 in Detroit, Michigan. Survivors are her husband Dr Elmer J Boyce; two daughters, Mrs Jesse Morris, Ballston Spa, and Mrs Clarence Mabb, Town of Malta; one son, Elmer E Boyce, Ballston Spa; two brothers, Alvin DeGraff and Lester DeGraff, Detroit, Michigan. Private funeral service will be conducted 2 pm Friday from the Wheeler Funeral Home. Rev Donald A Miller, Christian and Missionary Alliance pastor, will officiate, and burial will be in the Clifton Park Cemetery.
