Barbara Birge was the daughter of Nathan Root Birge & Bertha Elizabeth Haight. She married Charles Greenwood Roberts, the son of Anson Roberts & Lydia Greenwood; they had 2 children, Charles Jr & Nathan.
After Charles died, Barbara remarried Sherman Henry Stearns, the son of Sherman Stearns & Bertha Elliott and had a daughter named Sally. Sherman died in 1986, Barbara in 2002 - they are buried at the Saint Mark's Church Columbarium in New Canaan, CT.

Cazenovia Boy, 15, Dies In Hospital
CAZENOVIA - Nathan Birge Roberts, 15, of 29 Chenango St, died yesterday in Syracuse Memorial Hospital after a long illness. A student at the Cazenovia Central School, he was an Acolytein the Order of St Vincent at St Peter's Episcopal Church, Cazenoiva. He is survived by his parents, Mr and Mrs Sherman Stearns; a brother, Charles Greenwood Roberts, Jr; a sister, Sally Birge Stearns; and his paternal grandmother, Mrs Anson Roberts of Buffalo. Services will be held at 10 am tomorrow in St Peter's Church, the Rev H William Foreman officiating. Burial will be at 2 pm in Vale Cemetery, Schenectady. Instead of flowers, the family requests contributions to the cancer fund.
