Myrtle Vivian Vincent was married twice - first to Logan Hance Montrose, then to George Hatcher.

Myrtle and Logan had 4 children.

HATCHER, Myrtle Vivian - 91, Truro, formerly of Pugwash Junction, passed away October 17, 2002, in Kay's Rest Home, Hilden. Born in Hartford, she was a daughter of the late John Sydney Osburne and Mercy Mae (Mooring) Vincent. Myrtle was a foster mother for many years having cared for over 75 children.  She is survived by daughters, Vivian (Lucien) Kingsbury, East Mountain, Colchester Co.; Isabel (Ted) Lee, Borden, Ont.; sons, Hance Montrose, Pictou; Vernon (Brenda) Montrose, Kingston; sisters, Audrey Vincent, Gladys Sleigh; brothers, Aubrey, Logan, Herrick; grandchildren, Holly Schiffner, Angela Gregan, Bradley Montrose, Darla Bedell, James Lockhart, James and Wade Fisher, Amanda Lee; great-grandchildren, Shannon Castle, Ashley and Nathan Schiffner, Daniel and Andrea Bedell, Tyler, Ryland and Jada Fisher, Matthew, Tyler, Bri Anna and Haleigh Montrose; great great-grandson, Hunter Schiffner. She was predeceased by her first husband, Logan Montrose in 1962; second husband, George Hatcher in 1989; sisters, Laura Coulter, Lucille Langille, Vera Christensen, Lena Porteous, Violet Langille, Ella MacNeil; brothers, Leaman, Norman; half-brothers, Earl, Pearl, Clarence.  Visitation will be held Sunday from 1 p.m. until the time of funeral service at 2 p.m. in Colchester Community Funeral Home, 512 Willow St., Rev. Andrew Crowell officiating. Burial in Wallace River Cemetery. Family flowers only. Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of your personal choice. MONTROSE, Hance Logan - 69, Pictou, passed away June 15, 2006, at home. Born in Amherst, he was a son of the late Logan Montrose and Myrtle Montrose-Hatcher. Hance lived and worked for many years in Pictou, and was well-known and liked by people around this area. He is survived by sisters, Vivian (Lucien) Kingsbury, East Mountain; Isabel (Ted) Lee; Beijing, China; brother, Vernon (Brenda) Montrose, Kingston; several nieces and nephews. No visitation by request. A graveside memorial service will be held on Wednesday, July 5, at 3 p.m. in Wallace River Cemetery with Rev. Brian DeLong officiating. KINGSBURY (Montrose), Vivian Myrtle - 66, East Mountain. It is with great sadness we announce the sudden and peaceful passing of Vivian on Thursday, April 8, 2010, in Colchester Regional Hospital, Truro. Born June 9, 1943, in Pugwash Junction, she was a daughter of the late Logan Hantz and Myrtle Vivian Montrose. Vivian worked at Lucien's Beauty School for 37 years and has spent the last number of years enjoying the time she got to spend with her grandchildren, whom she adored. She also enjoyed working in her garden and golfing with her friends. She was an amazing woman with a big heart and was loved by all. She will be deeply missed in all our lives. Vivian is survived by her loving husband of 33 years, Lucien; son, Jimmy (Cindy) Lockhart; daughter, Darla (Mike) Bedell; grandchildren, Brayden, Nicholas, Daniel, Andrea; brother, Vernon (Brenda) Montrose; sister, Isabel (Ted) Lee; many nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Hantz. Arrangements have been entrusted to Mattatall ~ Varner Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. All are welcome to attend a graveside funeral service 2 p.m., Monday, April 12, 2010, in Riverside Cemetery, Wallace River, Reverend Andy Crowell officiating. Family flowers only. If so desired, donations in Vivian's memory to a charity of choice are welcomed. For those unable to attend the service in Wallace, the book will be available here at the funeral home for you to sign.
