Marrying Two Sisters

Leonard Dale McKown was the son of Roy A McKown & Sylvia Miller. He married two daughters of Frederick August Grisback & Ruby Mae Worden - Edith & Lavonne.

Edith was born in 1908 and married Leonard in 1939 and he married Lavonne around 1955. Edith died in 1980, while Lavonne died in 2002. Unfortunately, I couldn't find anything more about the sisters other than Lavonne had married 6 times and if the records are right, she had 2 children. Leonard died in 1956.

LB Man Killed in Car Crash at San Diego
Leonard Dale McKown, 57, of 1073 American Ave, was killed early Saturday when his car plunged off US Hwy 101 in northern San Diego. The crash critically injured his wife, Lavone, 31, and seriously injured a passenger, Mrs Arbutus Grisback, 31, no address given. They were taken to San Diego County Hospital. Mrs McKown said they were returning from a trip to Tijuana when her husband lost control of the car.

McKown - Leonard Dale McKown, 51, of 1073 American Ave, died Saturday in San Diego after a traffic accident. Surviving are his wife, Lavonne; mother, Mrs Sylvia McKown, Long Beach; brothers, Jay and Max, Long Beach, John, Torrance and Benton. The funeral will be at 11 am Wednesday in the Dilday Mortuary. Interment will be in Sunnyside Memorial Park.
