Doris E Kneeskern, the daughter of Herbert Kneeskern & Martha Thompson, was born in 1915 at Ephratah, NY and married Howard L Sleezer, the son of William L Sleezer & Anna B Rosa.

Mrs Doris K Sleezer, 75, of RD 3 Ford Plain (Route 163), formerly of Hickory Hill road, Fort Plain and Scotia, died Thursday morning, April 5, at her home after a long illness. Mrs Sleezer was born April 3, 1915, in Ephratah, the daughter of Herbert and Martha Thompson Kneeskern. She was educated in Johnstown and Gloversville schools. In 1935, she was married to Howard L Sleezer. He died in 1975. During the 1940s and early 50s, she assisted her husband in the operation of the former D&H Glove Co, of Gloversville. She then worked as a supervisor for the statistical department of the New York State Department of Labor in Albany, retiring in 1977 after 25 years there. She resided in the Fort Plain area since 1977, previously having been a resident of Scotia for many years. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses of Palatine ridge, and a member of the CSEA. Survivors include a sister, Beatrice Whitehouse of Fort Plain, with whom she resided; one brother, Keith Kneeskern of Gloversville; several nephews, grandnephews and cousins. Funeral service and interment in Ephratah Rural Cemetery will be private, at the convenience of the family. No Calling hours will be observed. Donations may be made to Fulton County Hospice, 58 N Main St, Gloversville, NY 12078. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Swartz & Schmiedel Funeral Home Inc, Fort Plain.

Howard L Sleezer, 64, of Scotia, a native of Gloversville, died yesterday at his trailer home at Delray Beach, Fla, where he was vacationing. He was born Sept 25, 1910 in Gloversville and was employed as a machinist for 15 years by General Electric Company, Schenectady, retiring due to illness in 1967. Mr Sleezer was a member and past president of the Guan-Ho-Ha Fish and Game Club of Scotia. He is survived by his wife, the former Doris Kneeskern; his father, William Sleezer of Gloversville; one brother, Robert Sleezer of Tom's river, NJ; and several nephews.
