Mrs Horace Shoemaker, West Sand Lake Rd, Defreestville, died yesterday in Denver where she went recently in an attempt to improve her health. Mrs Shoemaker, the former Rowena Curtis, was vice president of the woman's auxiliary of Capital City Rescue Mission, Albany, and was a deaconess of Sixth Ave Baptist Church, Troy. A native of Bemis Heights, she had resided in Defreestville 26 years. Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Miss Marlene Shoemaker, Defreestville; her mother, Mrs Frank Curtis, Mechanicville, and her grandmother, Mrs Bessie Curtis, Mechanicville. The Rev J Raymond Attman, pastor of Sixth Ave Baptist Church and the Rev Wilford Fowler of the rescue mission will officiate at funeral services at 2 pm Saturday in the Troy church. Burial will be in Stillwater under direction of the DeGraf Funeral Home, West Sand Lake.

Mrs Robbins, 24, Dies, Funeral Wednesday
Mrs Lucille Bajer Robbins, wife of Fenton A Robbins Jr of 1016 Bill Road, died Saturday at St Clare's Hospital following a short illness. She was 24. A lifelong resident of the city, Mrs Robbins was a graduate of Nott Terrrace High School in 1948. She was a member of St Mary's Church. Funeral services will be held at 830 am Wednesday at the Kazyaka Funeral Home and a solemn requiem high mass will be celebrated at 9 am at St Mary's Church. Burial will be at Most Holy Redeemer Cemetery. The funeral home will be open tomorrow after 7 pm. Survivors besides her husband include three children, James Alan, Richard Paul and Sheryl Diana Robbins; her parents, Mr and Mrs Peter Bajer; a sister Mrs Wanda Murawski; and two brothers Thaddeus and Henry Bajer, all of this city.

Willis Franklin Rockefeller married into our line via Sylma Elizabeth Smith, the daughter of Gilbert Edwqrd Smith & Mary Rebecca Hatlee.

MECHANICVILLE - Willis (Pete) Rockefeller, 62, of RD 2, Route 146, a veteran employee of AL Tech Specialty Steel Corp in Watervliet, died Wednesday at Samaritan Hospital in Troy. His death was attributed to natural causes. Born in Mechanicville, he was the son of the late Willis and Mabel Edmonds Rockefeller. Mr Rockefeller lived in the Town of Halfmoon for the past 14 years and had worked for AL Tech, formerly Allegheny Ludium Steel Corp, for 36 years. He was a member of St Luke's Episcopal Church in Mechanicville. Survivors include his wife, Sylma E Smith Rockefeller; a daughter, Mrs Arthur LeBlanc of Clifton Park; a stepsister, Mrs Alfred Quinn of Mechanicville; a stepbrother, William Fisher of Mechanicville; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held at 930 am Saturday from the Dunn Funeral Home Home, 319 Park Ave, Mechanicville and from St Luke's Episcopal Church in Mechanicville where a Requiem Mass will be celebrate by Rev George Kalfuss, rector. Interment will be in Hudson View Cemetery in Mechanicville.
