John H Ahearn Jr Rescue Squad

Mary Elizabeth Emmott was the daughter of George William Emmott & Lorena Mae Smith and traces back to Hezekiah Rogers Jr & Hannah Vincent. At 25, she married John Henry 'Crabby' Ahearn Jr, the son of John H Ahearn & Bridge Singen.

Like his father, John Jr was a volunteer fireman but this obit does not do him justice.

John Jr founded a privately-run volunteer fire service in Mechanicville & then when the ambulance service was added, it was named the John H Ahearn Jr Rescue Squad.  Clifton Park & Halfmoon Emergency Corps acquired the service in 2014and his name continues to honor the hall.
