Mr Ganger Dies at 45
Willard 'Bill' Ganger,
45, died early this morning in his home at 832 Glenview Lane, Traverse City,
after a long illness. Funeral services will be heald at 2 pm, Thursday at
Reynolds Funeral Home in Traverse City, Capt Carl Ehry officiating, with burial
in Oakwood Cemetery. Mr Ganger was born March 2, 1925, at Belleville, the son
of Mr and Mrs Dewey Ganger, later lived at Ypsilanti, and had been a Traverse
City resident since 1953. He was employed at Brown Lumber & Supply Co for
12 years, retiring last March because of ill health. Mr Ganger was a member of
the Salvation Army Church and was a veteran of World War II, serving with US
Army in the European Theater. On May 19, 1943, at Ypsilanti he was married to
Olive Milks, who survives. Also surviving are: a son, Willard J of Ypsilanti;
three daughters, Mrs William (Betty) Larcom of Holt, Mrs Jerry (Susan) Lown of
Traverse City, and Mrs Ray (Marie) Thornton of Suttons Bay; six grandchildren;
three brothers, Frederick and Dewey of Ann Arbor and Henry, in the US Army and
stationed at Brooklyn, NY; and many nieces and nephews. His father, a sister,
and a brother preceded him in death.
