Vincent - Struss

George Philip Vincent & Martha Foster Swan were a couple of Maritimers who had 8 children - one of them was Lulu Francis Elizabeth Vincent born in 1886 at West New Annan, Nova Scotia.

Lulu met and married fella of German descent by the name of Frederich Karl Cleveland Struss - he was born in Philadelphia, PA in 1884 and worked as an Electrician

According to the censuses, Lulu headed to Massachusetts around 1909 and married Fred in 1912 - together they had 4 children - Karl Vincent Struss, Leigh Arnold Struss, Inez Vincent Struss & Thornton Vincent Struss.

Karl was a Glass Blower who married Vibeke Christoffersen - I didn't find any children for them but they are buried at the Green Cemetery in Carlisle, MA.

Little Inez only lived for a couple of weeks before she died -  she is buried in Riverside Cemetery in Saugus, Ma

Thornton was an electrician like his father and married Lorraine LaFontaine - he died at Hanover, PA in 2001

Golfer Stricken While on Course
Leigh A Struss, 57, of 15 B, Hampshire Drive, died Saturday afternoon at the Elliot Hospital in Manchester.  He was born in Somerville, Mass on Jan 23, 1916 and had been employed as a technical engineer for the Lowell Gas Co, Lowell, Mass.  Mr Struss was stricken while playing golf and was pronounced dead on arrival at hospital.  He is survived by his wife, Ruth Wicker Struss of Nashua; three daughters, Diane Eaton of Deerfield, Sandra Berry of Tacoma Park, Md, Patricia O'Leary of Nashua; two sons, Lee Struss of Hallendale, Fla, Frederick Struss of Pawtucket, RI; two brothers, Karl Struss of Carlise, Mass and Thornton Struss of Ellicott, Md; and five grandchildren.  Goudrey's Funeral Home in Salem is in charge of the arrangements.
