Catherine was the daughter of George Vincent & Polly Higgins. Mary was George's great-granddaughter through my line - the granddaughter of Joshua Vincent & Hannah Treen. Mary was the daughter of James 'Edward' Vincent so does that make Catherine Mary's great Aunt?

Rockley - The funeral service for the late Logan Ellsworth (Joseph) Smith, 74, who passed away at East Cumberland Lodge, Pugwash on April 8th, 1980, was held from Mundle's Funeral Home on Friday, April 11. Born in East Wentworth, he was a son of the late Burton and Lucy (Porter) Smith. He was an associate member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Pugwash Branch #60, a member of the United Church of Canada, and a member of the Longshoremen's Union. He is survived by a daughter, Dorothy (Mrs Alex Sawchuk), Edmonton; a son, Lester, Saulte Ste Marie; two half-sisters, Mrs Minnie MacKay, Rockley and Audrey (Mrs Cecil Smith) Harmony; a half-brother, Mark, Amherst, nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, the former Kathleen Casey, his step-father Austin Smith, a daughter Shirley, and two half-brothers, Cecil and William. Rev Arnold Mitton officiated at the service using the 23 Psalm as his text, and selected scriptures from John and Timothy II. Mrs Hazel Hollis accompanied Mrs Lillian Frobes, the solist, who sang "In the Garden" and "Abide with Me". Rev Mitton read the poem "He has arrived.” The many floral tributes and memorials testified to the esteem in which the deceased was held [goes on to list them all]. Sympathy cards and telephone calls too numerous to mention. Interment was in the Rockley Cemetery.
