Lithographer

I am still a bit confused about lithography but this is the first Commercial Artist I have found in the family.

Karl J Cameron was born in Charlotteown, PEI to John E Cameron & Bertha 'Blanche' Riggs and attended the School of Practical Art in Boston .

Along the way, he met and married another islander by the name of Helen Douglas. It is possible they met via a common love of art as she was the manager of the Art Department at the Eastern Photo Engravers in Halifax.

Here are 2 lithographs done by Karl of Charlottetown - 1941 & 1961

Sadly, in 1946, they lost their 3 year old daughter in a drowning accident

Karl outlived his wife and died in 1989
