Interwined Masons

The Mason name runs deep in the Vincent family genealogy and some are intertwined with each other…..(and ironically, into my mother's side of the family too...but that's another story)

Beatrice Clair Beaver, the daughter of John Richard Beaver & Sarah Ann Clattenburg out of Pleasant Harbour, NS married Robert Vayne Mason.

Robert was the son of Robert Jamison Mason & Annie May Prest out of Tangier, NS and might have died before 1911 - he wasn't on the 1911 census with his wife and kids.

Like his father and grandfather, Robert was a mariner and I have been toying with the idea that perhaps the reason a death entry hasn't been found is that he was lost at sea; that maybe his name is listed on one of the memorials down home.

Here's where the intertwining begins... Robert V was the grandson of Capt Peter Mason & Lydia Arbuckle.  By 1913 Beatrice had remarried......

She married....Robert's uncle.....Austin Aubrey Mason, another seaman and son of Capt Peter Mason & Lydia Arbuckle!

Robert was the father of 2 sons - Russell & John aka Tim.  Austin was the father of 4 children but only 2 survived - Walter & Raymond
