Mr Lawrence Earl Kelly,
age 74 years, of 595 S Meridian Road, Hudson, passed away Wednesday evening,
January 28, 1987, in Thorn Hospital, Hudson, after a period of failing health.
He was born June 13, 1912, in Pittsford Township, Hillsdale County, Michigan,
the son of Lavern and Minnie (Huengerford) Kelly. He spent most of his life in
the Pittsford Area and was a graduate of Hillsdale High School. He lived in
Hudson the past three years. He married Mary Jane Capper on June 20, 1936, at
Hudson. She preceded in death on June 13, 1980. He married Carolyn M hart,
April 14, 1984 at Hudson. She survives. Mr Kelly was the founder and owner of
the Kelly Furniture Store in Pittsford, retiring on October 1, 1969. He was a
member of the First United Methodist church of Hudson, a member of the Hudson
Center Grange, the Hudson Senior Citizens and the Hillsdale County Farm Bureau.
Besides his wife he is survived by several nieces and nephews. He was preceded
in death by his parents and by his first wife. Funeral services were held at 2
pm Saturday in the Brown-VanHemert Funeral Home in Hudson with the Rev Myra L
Sparks officiating. Interment was made in the Locust Corners Cemetery in
Pittsford Township.

HUDSON - Carolyn M Kelly, 77, of the Stephenson Home in Adrian, passed away May 23, 1996, at her residence. She was born Nov 3, 1918, near Clayton, the daughter of Carroll and Edith (Spring) Hart. She lived most of her life in the Clayton-Hudson area. She attended the Hard of Hearing School in St Paul, Minn and the Rackham School for the Deaf & Hard of Hearing in Ypsilanti. She married Lawrence Earl Kelly on April 14, 1984. He preceded her in death on Jan 28, 1987. Mrs Kelly was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hudson and the United Methodist Women; a member of the Hudson Center Grange, a former member of the Clayton Woman's Club and the Lenawee County Farm Bureau. She enjoyed making crafts and fancywork. Surviving are one sister, Mrs Basil (Jeannette) McKenzie of Breckenridge and several nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, Wayland Hart, and a sister Mrs Ruth Henry. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 pm Saturday at the Brown-VanHemert Funeral Home in Hudson with the Rev mark Johnston officiating. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Hudson. the visitation will be from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Friday. Memorial are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
