Maude Louise Bennett, the daughter of Hiel T Bennett & Mary Louise Spring, married Leo Francis Steger, the son of Adam Steger & Rose O'Reilly. 

Leo & Maude had 3 children - Leo Jr, Bernard & John.

Leo Francis Steger, 64, found dead in his home, Wednesday. Born in Hudson, Feb 11, 1888, son of the late Adam and Rose O'Reilly Steger. Spent most of his life here. Leaves wife, Maude; 3 sons, Leo Francis, Jr of Elgin, Ill, Bernard James of Columbus, OH, and John Adam of Leavenworth, Kans; 3 grandchildren; 5 sisters, Mrs Mary Solsburg, Miss Clare Steger and Mrs Rose Macey, all of Dearborn, and Miss Alice Steger and Mrs Theresa Harlan of Hudson; and several cousins. Burial in Calvary Cemetery.

HUDSON - Mrs Maude L Steger, 91, of Columbus, Ohio, formerly of Hudson, died Sunday at Columbus after a period of failing health. She was born Dec 9, 1888 in Prattville, the daughter of Hile and Mary (Spring) Bennett. She married Leo F Steger in 1919 in Hudson. He died in 1952. Mrs Steger lived in the Hudson area most of her life, moving to Columbus about six years ago to live with a son, James. She was a retired grade school teacher, having taught at Manistique in her early years, and for many years at Hudson. Mrs Steger was a member of the First Congregational Church of Hudson, the Hudson Senior Citizens, and the Michigan Retired Teachers Association. Surviving are three sons, Leo Steger of Bowling Green, Ohio; James Steger of Columbus, Ohio, and John Steger of Leavenworth, Kan; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister, Mrs Dan (Lena) Brown, and one brother, Bert Bennett. Services will be held at 10 am Wednesday at the First Congregational Church of Hudson with the Rev G E Miller and the Rev G R Lowen officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Hudson. Visitation will be at the Brown-VanHemert Funeral Home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm Tuesday. The pallbearers were: Don M Harlan, Clementino Gutierrez, Wayne Gutierrez, Gregory Steger, Patrick Steger, Mike Cantlon and John A Steger, II.
