Spring - Hart


Edith M Spring married Carroll Jackson Hart, the son of Llewelln Hart & Mary Jackson. She was the daughter of Charles L Spring & Anna R Durphy. Together, Edith & Carroll had 4 children - Wayland, Ruth, Edyth and Carolyn. She lost a daughter & her husband before her death in 1978.
 
Ruth Marion Hart married Burrell Edwin Henry, the son of Glenn G Henry & Rachael M Kershner and they had 5 children - Terry, Robert, Jack, Patricia & Sally.

Mr and Mrs Carol Hart received word Sunday of the death of their daughter, Mrs Burrell Henry of Marshall, Mi in an auto accident in Ontario, Canada. Leaves the husband, who is in serious condition, parents, sister, Caroline, brother Wayland, all of Hudson; sister Mrs Basil MacKenzie of Breckenridge; and 5 children ranging in age from 18 months to 15 years.

Carroll J Hart, 77, of Clayton, died Friday at Thorn Hospital. Born June 20, 1885, son of Lewellyn and Mary Jackson Hart. Married Sept 12, 1908, to Edith Spring. Survived by  his wife; one son, Wayland Hart, also of Clayton; 2 daughters, Mrs Basil (Jeannette) McKenzie of Breckenridge and Miss Carolyn Hart at home; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs Ruth Henry, preceded him in death. Burial in Maple Grove Cemetery.

CLAYTON - Mrs Edith M Hart, 95, of Cadmus Rd, Clayton, died Wednesday evening at the Lenawee County Medical Care Facility in Adrian after a long illness. Mrs hart was born on July 1, 1182, in Medina Township to Charles and Anna Derphy Spring. She lived her entire life in Lenawee County. She married Carrol J Hart on Sept 14, 1908, in Hudson. Mrs Hart was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hudson, the Hudson Center Grange and was a former member of the Clayton Women's Club and Order of the Easter Star. She is survived by one son, Wayland of Hudson; two daughters, Mrs Basil (Jeannette) McKenzie of Breckenridge and Miss Carolyn Hart of Hudson; 10 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Mrs Hart was preceded in death by her husband on April 5, 1936 [sic] and by one daughter, Mrs Ruth Henry. Services will be 2 pm Saturday at the Brown-Van Hemert Funeral Home in Hudson with the Rev Robert B Secrist officiating.
