William & Ella MacNeill

Ella Grace Vincent, another daughter of John S O Vincent & Mercy Mae Mooring was born in 1923 and married William Elwood 'Dag' MacNeill.  

William married into the family line twice - his 2nd wife, Lillian Patricia Mason, was the daughter Edwin Ernest Mason & Gertude Hawes - Edwin's line traces back to Ole Willie Arbuckle & Mary Vincent

MacNEILL, William Ellwood (Dag) - 74, Tatamagouche, died September 21, 1993, in Lillian Fraser Memorial Hospital, Tatamagouche. Born in Malagash, he was a son of the late Robert and Annie (Byers) MacNeill. He was a veteran of the Second World War, serving throughout Europe in the Army Signal Corps. He was employed with Windsor Salt Company, retiring in 1984. He was a member of Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 97, Malagash and enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing darts and gardening. He is survived by his second wife, the former Patricia Mason; three sons, Gary, Prince Rupert, B.C.; Garth, Langley, B.C.; Glen, Kamloops, B.C.; daughter, Gail (Mrs. Richard Terris), New Minas; 10 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two stepsons, Vaughn MacBurnie, Ottawa; Clinton MacBurnie, Dartmouth; two step-daughters, Vesta (Mrs. Wendall Tattrie), Consort, Alta.; Darlene (Mrs. Herb Terris), Halifax; 12 step-grandchildren; 11 step-great-grandchildren; two brothers, George, Barrie, Ont.; Robert C., Malagash; two sisters, Geneva (Mrs. Vincent Lane), Hamilton, Ont.; Betty (Mrs. Weldon Latta), Wallace Bay, Cumberland County. He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Ella Vincent; sister, Thelma; step-grandson, Donald Boyce. Visitation will be 2-4, 7-9 p.m. Thursday in Coulter's Funeral Home, Tatamagouche, where a legion service will be 7 p.m. Thursday. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday in Malagash South Shore United Church, Rev. Beth Johnston officiating. Burial will be in church cemetery. Donations may be made to Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia.
