Virginia Mary Jacqueline MacDonald, the daughter of Michael Roderick MacDonald & Charlotte Ann Forbes, was born in Lourdes, Nova Scotia and by 1937, she had married a 'sexologist,' 30 years her senior!
Born in 1879 at Vienna, Dr Rudolf R von Urbantschitch studied under Sigmund Freud & married twice before venturing to the United States. There he would become Dr Rudolf von Urban.
While in California, it appears he did not get his American certification & was taken to court for practicing without a license per the article in the San Francisco Examiner title "Sex Expert's 'Electric' Theory Aired at Trial"
Dr Rudolf died in 1964 and Virginia in 2002

Dr Rudolf von Urban, Noted Viennese Sexologist, Dies
Dr Rudolf von Urban, a Viennese-trained physician and controversial sexologist who starred in a stormy courtroom drama in Monterey 21 years ago, is dead at the age of 86. He died in his Carmel home Dec 18, it was revealed yesterday. A refugee from Nazi Germany, Dr von Urban was Monterey County's court psychologist when the State Board of medical Examiners charged him with practicing medicine without a license. A number of prominent California physicians came to his defense, testifying that Dr von Urban's advice to the sexually unhappy and maladjusted was sound and did not amount to practicing medicine without a license. Dr von Urban, testifying in his defense, said all he had been trying to do was to "teach a normal sex life." He charged that an American sex taboo had relegated sex to the gutter, causing widespread neuroses and broken marriages. He was acquitted. He is survived by his widow, Virginia, of Carmel and two daughters, Mrs Greta Stoele of Vienna and Mrs Elizabeth Waltz of Munich.
