Lucy Mae Peck was the daughter of Samuel Edgar Peck & Mary Ellen Widel. She married James 'Frank' Ady in 1897 & had 7 children - Frank, Esther, Elta, Ruth, Helen, Cedric & Dorothy.

Flandreau, S. D - Ady, Mrs. Frank, 82. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Methodist Church. Died Sunday in a Flandreau hospital. Born in Odebolt, Iowa, Sept. 4, 1878, she married there in 1897. Came to Brookings County in 1914 and to Moody County in 1916. Moved to Flandreau in 1940. Survived by the widow; two sons, Elsworth, Flandreau, and Friden [sic], Three Rivers, Calif.; five daughters, Mrs. Gieferd Gjere, Pipestone, Minn.; Mrs. Harry Thompson, Sisseton; Mrs. Floyd Larson and Mrs. Curtis Nass, both of Flandreau, and Mrs. Gerald Peterson, De Smet; 23 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

Frank Elsworth Ady was the son of James Frank Ady & Lucy Mae Peck. He married Dora Katherine Larson, the daughter of Carl A Larsson & Lydia Bonderson; they had 4 children - Arlene, Francis, Marilyn & Doris.

Elsworth Ady - Funeral services for Elsworth Ady, 66, Moody county farmer who died Tuesday, were Thursday at the Methodist church in Flandreau, S. D. Burial was in the Flandreau cemetery under the direction of the Thomas funeral home. Mr. Ady was born July 11, 1898, at Spirit Lake, Iowa, and spent his childhood in Schaller, Iowa. He resided in Moody county since 1916. He married Dora Larson in 1920. Survivors include the widow; a son, Francis of Flandreau; three daughters, Mrs.Vernie Schuldt of Pipestone, Minn., Mrs. Jack Kurtz of Pittsburg, Calif., and Mrs. Carl James of Williston, N. D.; a brother, Cedric of San Jose, Calif.; five sisters, Mrs. G. E. Gjero of Pipestone, Minn., Mrs. Harry Thompson of Sisseton, S. D., Mrs. Floyd Larson and Mrs. Curtis Nass, both of Flandreau, S. D., and Mrs. Gerald Peterson of DeSmet, S. D., and seven grandchildren.

Helen M Nass was born at Schaller, Ia on Feb 17, 1909 to J Frank and Lucy Mae Peck Ady. She came to Moody County with her parents when she was five years old. She started her education in rural schools and graduated from Flandreau high school in 1926. She taught school in Brookings and Moody County until her marriage to Curtis Nass on November 27, 1929 at Flandreau. From 1953 to 1973 she worked as a bookkeeper for the Moody County Oil Co in Flandreau. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church, past matron of the Eastern Star and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. She is survived by her husband; one daughter, Gladys, Mrs David Kohler, Arvada, Colo; one son Charles Nass, Sioux Falls; 6 grandchildren, Jeffrey, Bradley, Kathleen, Randall, Jennifer, Blake; 1 great granddaughter, Rachel; one brother, Ted, Corning, Calif; three sisters, Elta (Mrs Harry Thompson), Sisseton, Mrs Ruth Larson, Flandreau and Mrs Dorothy Peterson, Desmet. She was preceded in death by one infant daughter Carol Ann, one grandson, parents, one brother and one sister.
