Cora W Podhaski, 79, of 1918 Pinehurst Lane, died Friday, Jul 6, at Allen Memorial Hospital of cancer. She was born Jan 19, 1911 in Boynton, Okla, daughter of William D and Nancy J McCord Suiter.  She married Harry Joseph P Podhaski June 4, 1937, in Waterloo. He died in 1951. She was a teacher for 30 years, her last years working for Area Education Agency 7 with the hearing impaired. She retired in 1981. She graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a bachelor's degree. Survivors include two sons, H Allen P of Australia and Lynn E of Portland, Ore; a daughter, Linda Schwartzman of Minneapolis; a brother, E O "Pete" Suiter of Cedar Falls; a sister, Betty Rohle of Waterloos; and William; and three sisters, Bernice George, Jenny Griffith and Mamie Suiter. Services will be 1030 am Monday at Walnut Ridge Baptist Church with burial in Fairview Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Kearns, Hulsman-Schumacher Chapel on Kimball from 4 to 9 pm today and for an hour before services at the church Monday. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Walnut Ridge Academy.

Services for William D Suiter, 70, of 4145 North Ave, will be 10 am Tuesday at Garden View Chapel, 3655 Logan Ave, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery where military rites will be conducted by Becker Chapman American Legion 138 and Veterans of Goreign War Post 1623. He died Saturday at Mesa Lutheran Hospital, Mesa, Ariz. He was born April 14, 1916, in Boynton, Okla, son of William and Nancy McCord Suiter. He was a machinist at Deere & Co for 42 years, retiring in 1981. He was a veteran of the Army, serving during World Ward II in Europe from March 31, 1944 to Nov 29, 1945. Survivors include a son, David of 4145 North Ave; a daughter, Mrs Nancy Klein of Tempe, Ariz; two brothers, Robert of 406 Wilshire Ave, and Edgar 'Pete' of 2123 Crescent Drive, Cedar Falls; three sisters, Mrs Cora Podhaski of 1920 Pinehurst Lane, Mrs Jennie Griffith of 3112 Boulder Drive, Cedar Falls and Mrs Betty Rohle of 227 Derbyshire Road; three grandchildren and a great-grandson. He was preceded by a brother, Richard and two sisters, Bernice George and Mamie Suiter. Friends may call at the chapel from 3 to 9 pm today and from 9 am until services on Tuesday. Memorials may be made to University Hospitals, Iowa City.

Mrs. Grover Fauser, 47, died at her home, Rt. 2, Fairbank, Thursday evening following surgery. She was born on July 30, 1920, the

daughter of Floyd and Jane Cook Cutshaw in Waterloo. She attended the Waterloo schools and was graduated from East High school in 1938. She was married in 1938 to William Suiter. They were later divorced. She was married on July 2, 1960, at the Little Brown Church in Nashua to Grover Fauser. They lived in the Waterloo and Orange area until recently when they moved to a farm in the area north of Dunkerton. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran church in Waterloo and of the Eagles Lodge. She is survived by her husband and three children, James Duane Fauser, 6; David Harold Suiter, 26, of Orange township, and Nancy Jane Suiter, 18, at home. She is also survived by two step children, David Grover Fauser, 19, at home, and Kathleen Ann Fauser, 20, of Oelwein; her parents. Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Cutshaw of 436 Conger St., one sister.  Mrs. Carol Nutter of Windham, Ohio; a brother, Lowell Cutshaw of Broomall, Penn; also by a paternal grandmother, Mrs. John H. Olmstead of 321 Center St., and one grandson. She was preceded in death by one sister. Services are pending at the O'Keefe & Towne funeral home.
