Guilbault - Hanz


Edmund James Guilbault was the son Louis Edmund Guilbault & Frances Folsom Armstrong. He married Florence Martha Hanz, the daughter of Walter A Hanz & Martha D Kuharski. Edmund & Florence had...wait for it....11 children! Carol, James, Joan, Daniel, Bonnie, Thomas, Gerald, David, Donald, Patricia & Michael.

Ontonagon - Edmond [sic] James Guilbault, 70, Ontonagon, died Monday night at Ontonagon Memorial Hospital. Son of the later Mr and Mrs Louis Guilbault, he was born Aug 8, 1909, at Rockland and attended area schools. He was employed at White Pine Copper Co until retiring in 1969. In 1937 he was married to the former Florence Hanz. She died in October 1966. He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church. Survivors include seven sons, James, Necedah, Wis, Daniels, Gerald, Donald and David, Ontonagon, Thomas, Madison Heights, and Michael, Fort bliss, Tex; four daughters, Mrs James Blodgett, Ironwood; Mrs John robinson, Kalamazoo, Miss Patricia, Marquette, and Mrs Thomas Burgess, Ontonagon. 14 grandchildren, and three sisters, Mrs Myrtle Trevarrow, Flint, Mrs Marian Lavigne, Plainwell, and Mrs Lucille O'Brien, Ontonagon. One sister and one brother preceded him in death. Allen Cane Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements which are incomplete.

Ontonagon - Mrs Edmund Guilbault, 47, died at the Ontonagon Memorial Hospital Sunday evening following a lengthy illness. She was the former Florence Honz [sic] and was born March 2, 1919, at Wausau, Wis. Mrs Guilbault was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church at Ontonagon. Surviving her are her husband; seven sons, David, Thomas, Gerald, Daniel, Donald, and Michael, all at home, and James of Needah, Wis; four daughters, Mrs James Blodgett of Webbersville, Mich, Mrs John Robinson of Kalamazoo, Mrs Thomas Burgess of Ontonagon and Patricia at home; eight grandchildren; her father, Walter Honz of Ontonagon and one sister, Mrs Roger McDonald of Ontonagon. The Driscoll Funeral Home will be open for visitation beginning at 2 pm Tuesday. The rosary will be recited at 9 that evening at the funeral home. Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 9 at the Holy Family Catholic Church, the Rev Charles Herbst officiating. Interment will be at the Catholic Cemetery at Ontonagon.
