James A Knapp, 29, of Hillside Lake Road, town of East Fishkill, died at his
home, Thursday (Dec 24, 1970). He operated the Knapp dairy Farm in partnership
with his father. Mr Knapp was a member of the Dutchess County Extension Service,
the Capital District Jersey Cattle Club and the National Jersey Cattle Club. He
was first lieutenant of the Hillside Lake Fire Co. born at Poughkeepsie, Jan
17, 1941, he was the son of Thomas B and Ethel Vellie Knapp. He was a graduate
of Wappingers Central School. Surviving are his parents; a sister, Mrs Mildred
Lund of Agawam, Mass; two brothers, Frank V Knapp of Millbrook and Lewis T
Knapp of Stormville. Funeral service will be held at the Auchmoody Fuenral
Home, Rt 82, Hopewell Junction, Sunday at 1 pm. The Rev William N Boak will
officiate. Interment will be in Freedom Plains Cemetery.
