Midshipman Henry James Molloy, Jr, of Bridgeton, RI was killed instantly when his single seat navy fighter plane crashed and exploded near South Mills.
Midshipman Henry James Molloy, Jr, of Bridgeton, RI was killed instantly when his single seat navy fighter plane crashed and exploded near South Mills.
This fresh faced 21 year old was the son of Henry James Molloy Sr & Dorothy Charlotte Livingston. Born in Boston, he was on a training exercise with the Navy when he died in the accident. Based on the death certificate, the gas tank exploded.
