Margaret Ann Slamal was the daughter of Pearl 'Kollin' Slamal & Kathryn Mae Post. She was born in Marshalltown and married 3 times - once into our line via DeVere 'Kenneth' Barrows.
Ken & Margaret were married in 1949 and had 1 son together - Gary. Ken went on to remarry - Dixie Morris. Ken died in 2000, Dixie in 2005.

Margaret Mathews, 40,
of Marion Dies
Margaret Ann Mathews,
40, of Route One, Marion, died Wednesday following a long illness. Formerly of
Marshalltown, she had been a resident of the Cedar Rapids-Marion area for 12
years. She was born Jan 30, 1931, at Iowa City. She was the home economist for
the Linn County Home Extension Service from 1966 to 1970. Surviving are her
mother, Catherine Klumfort of Iowa City; four sons, Gary Barrows of Toddville;
David Vaughn, Rusty Vaughn, and Michael Mathews, all at home; a daughter,
Debbie Mathews of California; a brother, David Davis of Texas; and two sisters,
Mary Bowser and Linda Smith, both of Cedar Rapids. Services: 10:30 am Saturday
at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories with the Rev John P Woods of the
Westminster Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial: Cedar Memorial Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Funeral Home after 3 pm Friday and at
the Chapel of Memories after 9 am Saturday. The casket will be closed at 10:25
am Saturday.
