A Group of Go-Getters

William Henry Kemp born in 1863 to John Alexander Kemp  & Rosella Manchester, married Isabell Florence Nathan, the daughter of George W Nathan & Margaret Mitchell. Together they had 7 children – Susan Clarice, John Alexander, William Henry Jr, Natalie Cameron, John Alexander, Alan Russell & Isabel Florence.

Like his father, he was ambitious and passed this spirit onto his children as seen in his son Mayor Alan Russell Kemp from an earlier post.

Below are the obits for William, Isabelle, & John.  John Alexander of 1899, the 2nd of his name in the family was named after his grandfather, and was a stock broker. The first John Alexander of 1888, died in infancy and was buried at Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn with his grandparents.
