Peter Johnson Jr & Margaret Rogers

Hezekiah Rogers Jr & Hannah Vincent had 6 children but today I focus on their daughter Margaret who married Peter Johnson, the son of Peter Johnson & Eva Emigh.

Margaret and Peter Johnson had 5 children – Patty, Peter P, Hannah, Eve & Margaret who were named in Peter’s will found in Saratoga Co.

Both are buried at the Clifton Park Baptist Cemetery, Clifton, NY.

Of the children, Patty married Eldert Van Vranken and had 3 children - Gitty, Peter and Martha - but Patty died in 30 Mar 1822, 2 days after Martha was born which suggests she died of complications from childbirth; sadly, Martha died months later.  Gitty died at 22, having never married; and Peter married Martha Hamm and had 4 children.  He relocated to Iowa and died in 1893

Peter P Johnson died in 1868 with no known children having married a girl named Gitty

Hannah never married and died in 1871 - her will help to find many nieces & nephews of this clan

Eve married John Hegeman and had 9 children - some written about in previous blogs and whose family was found on page 1398 of the ebook "History of South Dakota" by Doane Robinson, 1904.

Lastly, Margaret married Platt Smith and had 9 children
