Electrician LLoyd Hiram Putnam and Maud Estella Storms were married in 1911 at Orange, NY.

He was the son of Alfred D Putnam and Antoinette L Smith. She was the daughter of Barzilla Gardner Storms & Louisa F Miller. Lloyd & Maud had 8 children - Mae, Alice, Alfred, Maud, Lloyd, Carl, Dorothea & Francis.

Funeral of Infant

The funeral of Mae Elizabeth, infant daughter of Mr and Mrs Lloyd Putnam of Ellicottville, was held from the residence of the former's mother, Mrs A D Putnam, on South Sixth Street Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 o'clock and was largely attended, many being present from out of town. The rev H D Shimer, pastor of St John's Lutheran Church, officiated, and took for his text St Mark, 10:14, "Suffer the little children to come unto me and forbid them not, for such is the kingdom of heaven." The remains were placed in a  receiving vault in Cedar Park Cemetery.

Alice T Putnam Aldrich, 77, of New Port Richey, Fla, formerly of Pompton Lakes, died Thursday. Before retiring 12 years ago, she was a secretary for Engineering Labs, Oakland, where she worked for 10 years. Surviving are two sons, Robert of Moyock, NC, and James of Cheshire, Conn; a daughter, Lois Sparnon of Stockholm; a brother, Francis Putnam of Warwick, NY; two sisters, Dorothea Hunter of Greenwood Lake, NY, and Maude McCarthy of Stratford, Conn; nine grandchildren, and a great-grandchild. Her husband, Percy, died in 1984. Services will be Tuesday at 10 am at Richards Funeral Home, Riverdale, with burial in Mount Rest Cemetery, Butler. Visiting is today from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.

Alfred Gardner Putnam was a plumber married a Flanders girl named Anna Elodia Van Cauwenberge - her parents were Gentil J Cauwenberge & Augusta Van Der Bake. They had 2 children; he died in 1984 in Florida, Anna died in 2006 back in New Jersey.

Maud Adelaide Putnam married Donald Arnold McCarthy, the son of Dennis A McCarthy & Bezie M Sheahan. Both of them were military people - she through the Nurses Corp via the Navy and when she retired, she was Lt Commander.  Based on her obit, it appears she met her husband at a military base and eventually married in Maryland 1946. They had 5 children.

Lloyd E Putnam married Virginia Anna Pellington, the daughter of Frederic Pellington & Grace Ricker; they had 2 children.

Carl James Putnam married Catherine J Duell, the daughter of Charles Duell & Rose Castle and they had 3 children.

Dorothea Amanda Putnam married Elmer Charles Hunter, the son of Charles E Hunter & Edith M Cox. They had 4 children.


Lastly, Francis Severin Putnam married Joan Sinsabaugh and they had 5 children.
