Glenn B Peck


Glenn Bernard Peck was the son of Elsworth Devillo Peck & Anna Marie Raftery who married Irene Sophronia Goreham, the daughter of Leonard L Goreham & Sophronia E Brennan.  Glenn & Irene had 4 children: Kathleen, Anna, Norma & Glennene

Glenn Peck Dies In Fort Worth
Glenn Peck, 65, of Fort Worth, Texas died Tuesday morning, May 4, following a stroke. He was a native of Odebolt and graduated from Odebolt High School with the class of 1916. He is survived by hiw wife, the former Irene Goreman, four daughters, nine grandsons and four granddaughters. He was a brother-in-law of J R Cranston of Odebolt and Clarence Goreham of Carroll.

Irene Sophronia Peck died July 17, 1987 in a Fort Worth hospital following a severe heart attack. The Rosary was said at 5 pm on Sunday, July 19, 1987. After the mass of Christian Burial at 10 am, July 20, 1987, at St Rita Catholic Church, she was buried at Rose Hill Memorial park next to her husband, Glenn B Peck. Her grandsons, John Bridges, Joseph Bridges, Robert Bridges, William Bridges, Steven Turner, Keith Stout, and Mark Milburn acted as pallbearers. Irene was born January 20, 1900 to L L and Sophronia Goreham. She was baptized at St Martin's Church and attended the parish grade school. After graduation from Odebolt High School, she attended Brainerd College in Winona, MN. There she continued her study at the piano and violin, voice and art. For a short time she taught school before her marriage to Glenn B Peck on January 20, 1925. Her four daughters wee born either in Odebolt or Storm Lake. As a young married resident of Odebolt, she was a charter member of the M & K Club. Irene and her family moved to Texas 45 years ago. In her later life she again became active in art and produced many paintings. For 16 years she has been a resident of a nursing home in Fort Worth. She is survived by four daughters, Kaye Stout of Lafayette, LA, Marie Young of Alvarado, Tx, and Glennece Turner and Norma Puett of Fort Worth. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews, some of whom are still residents of Odebolt and the surrounding rural area. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, two brothers, Lawrence and Clarence Goreham, and her sister Laura Schwaller.
