Manning Children

The children of James Elmer Manning & Florence G Cummings were Arthur, Clinton, Raymond, and Wallace.

Arthur died in 1953.  I couldn't find any records for him other than the census and city directories.

He was the Owner/Operator of Manning Service Station in Wyandotte, and he married a girl named Eileen Elsie Temple, the daughter of Thomas C Temple & Sarah Ann Peddle. Eileen remarried and died in 1990.

Clinton James Manning, a security guard, married Helen Elizabeth Singer - the daughter of William Singer & Elizabeth Movinski.  Together they had 4 children - Patricia, James, Warren & Karen.

Clinton J Manning - Funeral services were held today from the RJ Nixon Funeral Home, Wyandotte, and St Cyprian's Church, Riverview, for Clinton J Manning, 61, who died Dec 28 at Wyandotte General Hospital. He was on the plant protection staff at Firestone Steel Products Co, Riverview. Burial was at Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Brownstown, Township. Surviving are his widow, Helen; sons James and Warren; daughters, Mrs Patricia Hunt and Mrs Karen Carr; brothers, Raymond and Elmer Jr and seven grandchildren.

Raymond William Manning married Olive Lucy Temple, sister to Arthur's wife, daughter of Thomas Temple & Sarah Peddle.  Together they had 3 children - Brian, Lynne, and Michael.

And the baby, Wallace Everett Manning who went by Elmer, married Lela Christine Gamble and they had 2 children - Ronald & Judith.

Wallace Manning Jr - Services were scheduled for 1 pm today at the R J Nixon Funeral Home, Wyandotte, for Wallace Everett "Elmer" Manning Jr, 59, of Riverview who died Aug 6. He was employed by the city of Riverview and was formerly DPW director. Mr Manning also was a former commander of American Legion Post 389 in Riverview. Survivors include his wife, Lela; son, Ronald of Trenton; daughter, Judith Kahye Harp of Riverview; brother, Raymond, and three grandchildren. Mr Manning belonged to Lincoln park Masonic Lodge 539, the Rockwood Moose and Forty & Eight Voiture 1002 of the American Legion. Burial is slated for Ferndale Cemetery, Riverview.
