Stanley was one of 10 children of Samuel David Fisher & Mary Jane
Gray. The above picture the family the day of his mother’s funeral in 1930. I wrote about Stanley’s older brother
Clarence being buried alive for a while at Vimy Ridge but I don’t have much on
Stanley.
Stanley first married Sarah Isabelle MacLeod, the daughter of
Alexander MacLeod (McLeod) & Elizabeth ‘Bessie’ Stevens out of Londonderry. They relocated to Ontario and after Sadie’s
death in 1962, Stanley married her sister Katherine.

Funeral service was held Saturday, May 23 in South Porcupine, Ont. for Stanley V. Fisher, 82, of South Porcupine. He died May 21 in hospital. Born in Westville, he was a son of the late Mr and Mrs Samuel Fisher. He was predeceased by his first wife, the former Sadie MacLeod; a son Robert. He is survived by his second wife, the former Katherine MacLeod; two sisters, Jessie, Calgary; Edna, Thunder Bay.
