Sgt Charles Henry Vincent 1888-1961

On Sunday, November 19, 1961, Charles Henry Vincent, of 635 Battery St, Victoria.  He was born at Winnipeg, Man and was a resident of Kelsy Ave, Fort Garry, before coming to Victoria 15 months ago.

He leaves to mourn, his wife, Dorothy at home; two daughters, Mrs Olive Smith of Vancouver and Mrs Marion Watson of Richmond; two sons, Robert D of Toronto and Bryan of Kamloops; a sister, Miss L O Vincent of Richmond; twelve grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

He served overseas in World War I with the 44th Batt CEF and was also a veteran of World War II.

The Rev Canon R E H Howell will conduct the funeral service on Thursday, November 23, at 130 pm in Christ Church Cathedral.  Interment in the Veteran's Cemetery.  Please omit flowers.  Chaplins are in charge of arrangements.
