John Patton & Mary Ellen Arbuckle were married just before Christmas in 1864 at Merigomish, NS. She was the daughter of Ole Willie Arbuckle & Mary Vincent; he was the son of John & Margaret Patton and John Jr was was a farmer. Together they had 9 children and all but one lived - it appears Charlotte died before she was 5 as she was not on the 1881 census with the family.
I couldn't find a death entry for John but it appears he died before 1901 as Mary was listed as widowed on the that census. She died in 1916 and was buried at Murray Point Cemetery at Lower Barney's River; I believe John is there too.
