About

Hi
My name is Christine and I am researching the d
escendants of Charles Vincent abt 1650 out of Yonkers, NY -  I have dubbed him as "Charles Vincent Sr".

This blog is a collection of stories for some of the people I find.

The family tree on World Connect is the collection of everyone that I find.  And my tree is public on Ancestry - Charles Vincent of Yonkers, username chvvictoria.

This all started because I wanted to find my Irish roots so that I could plan a trip to Ireland.  This was based on a family tale that my 4x grandfather fled Ireland on the wrong side of the law.  But it is not looking good.  If we are not Irish, then what are we?

It took me nearly three years to piece things together, to discover my 4x grandparents and the link to Charles Sr.  All because I wanted to go somewhere in Ireland.

I now want to travel to Boston, New York, and Nova Scotia, I guess those are foreign enough for me!

Also, I wanted to share the material to help other researchers. I have met many cousins, the Vincent women appear to have done well via marriages, but I have yet to bump into a direct Vincent Researcher - I would love to work with others hunting down the same trail!

Feel free drop me an email if for no other reason than to say Hi!!

PS - If you find an error and or can add any information, I would love to hear from you too!

(although I publish the sources I find, please do not let that deter you from contacting me or sharing with me - I do respect wishes and make notes for those)

    1. I ordered it thru the library - it's just tiny little booklet - it's held down home - Nova Scotia, at least there was one copy back then - if you have any issues, send me an email & I'll dig up the old ordering info if I still have - happy hunting!
