Selden Una Swartwout was another son of William P Swartwout & Lottie M Allen who married Charlotte Ruth Burian, the daughter of James A Bruian & Anna L Shaffman. Like his father, he had a large family - 8 children - Selden J, Keith, Wayne, Dennis, Lloyd, Darrell, Robin & Charlotte.

Selden U. Swartwout,
65, of 5420 Driftwood, Rt. 7, Janesville, died Sunday at University Hospital,
Madison. He had been ill the past six months. Born March 19, 1912, at Glenburn,
N.D., he was married to Charlotte Burian Sept. 17, 1934, at Watertown, Wis., and
had lived in Janesville since 1948. He was employed at Fairbanks Morse Co.,
Beloit, for 30 years, retiring in 1967, and was a member of Evangelical
Lutheran Church, Beloit. Surviving are his wife; a daughter, Mrs. John Marx,
Stoughton; seven sons, Wayne, Dennis, Lloyd and Darrell, all of Janesville,
Selden J., Rockford, Keith, Mystic, Conn., and Robin, Miami, Fla.; seven
grandchildren; two brothers, Lawrence, Rogers, Neb., and Carl, Minot, N.D.
Services are at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Whitcomb Funeral Home, with burial in
South Burr Oak Cemetery, Friendship. Friends may call at the funeral home from
7 to 9 p m. Tuesday.

Lloyd & Darrell died in a car accident together in 1993 like their youngest brother Robin in 1978

ROBIN SWARTWOUT - Services for Robin Swartwout, 26, of Alexandria, Ind., and formerly of 5420 Driftwood, Route 7, Janesville, who died Thursday in a traffic accident in Alexandria, are at 1:30 pm Saturday at Whitcomb Funeral Home. Burial will be in South Burr Oak Cemetery, Friendship, Wis. Friends may call at the funeral home from 7 to 9 tonight. Memorials may be made to the building fund of Grace Evangelical Free Church, Afton. Mr Swartwout was born Jan 25,1952, at Beloit, the son of Selden and Charlotte Burian Swartwout, and later lived in Janesville where he attended Franklin Junior High School and graduated from Parker High School in 1970. He was a member of Franklin and Parker Lettermen's clubs and a Big Eight Conference wrestling champ at Parker. Mr Swartwout had lived in Miami. Fla , from 1973 until moving to Alexandria last January, and operated an automotive business there. His father died in 1977. Surviving are his mother; a sister, Mrs John Marx, Stoughton six brothers, Wayne, Dennis, Lloyd and Darrell of Janesville, Selden J, Rockford, and Keith, Mystic. Conn; nieces and nephews.
