GRANT- PATTONA wedding of much local interest took place recently in the United Church, Vancouver, B.C., when Beulah Lily, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Patton, of New Glasgow, became the wife of Eugene A. Grant of Port Alberni, B.C. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Mr. Rodden. There were no attendants. The bride was gowned in Queen's blue sheer and her corsage was of gardenias. After a short trip Mr. and Mrs. Grant will reside in Port Alberni.
I don't know how or where these 2 maritimers met and made them leave home for British Columbia - did they elope? How lovely if they did!
He was 49 and a scaler in the logging industry; she was 36 when they married and it doesn't appear that they had any children. He died in 1957 at Creston, BC, she died at Kelowna, BC in 1985 and they are both buried at the Forest Lawn Cemetery at Creston, BC.
How romantic, just in time for St.Valentine's Day.
